DHST East Asia Commission

The International Society for the History of East Asian Science, Technology and Medicine (ISHEASTM) serves, represents, and speaks for scholars working in the field of the history of East Asian science, technology, and medicine worldwide. It was founded on 4 August 1990, on the occasion of the Sixth International Conference on the History of Science in China, held in Cambridge, UK. It has the status of a non-profit organisation based in France. It became the East Asia Commission of IUHPS/DHST in 1997. The Society’s activities consist of:
